Scattered across the rugged Serranía de Ronda at altitudes of up to 900m, the vineyards surrounding Ronda form one of Andalucía’s youngest yet most dynamic wine regions.
Most Andalucian vineyard farming practices are focussed on dry-farming, organic, biodynamic or natural ecological methods, using hand-harvested, low-yield vinicultural practices to produce wines free from any common additives like colourants, corrective chemicals or flavourings.

I loved this tour. It started at 8 am with a quick pick up from our house and on the way toRonda we went. Once arrived we had about 1.5 hours to explore the church, park, shopping area and stopped for coffee. After, we went to 3 vineyards for wine tasting.

The terroir is nothing short of extreme, from barren, yet mineral-rich soils, to alluvial gravel and red clay in the “bad-lands” north of Sierra Nevada, drained by torrential winter rains and starved of summer water.

Nice day around Ronda. Very great is the pick-up and return service. Nice views, talks, discussions and wine yards are picked well and give you a good impression of the wines in the region. The wines were presented well, but the wineries could do more in explanation and description of their wines about tastes, perfumery extracts...

We learned about the wines we were drinking and with each glass tried a delicious tapa meal! See pictures below. This day was undoubtedly long but worth Every moment. Great views, nice exploring and amazing wine! The tour was seamless!

My wife and I spent yesterday on the Tannin Trail Ronda Full Day Wine Tour! This is an EXCEPTIONAL tour from beginning to end. First of all, from the moment you book this tour on TripAdvisor, Vanessa from Tannin Trail is with you to confirm, coordinate, and manage your booking. She’s awesome at great communications! She had Kelly pick us up at the cruise port when our ship arrived. He was spot on-time. The ride to Ronda was pleasant in a Mercedes van and we were with only one other couple. Our first stop was at a small, boutique vineyard, Bodega Kieninger, where only the four of us participated in a vineyard tour and wine tasting. The entire experience was very intimate. This vineyard specializes in all-natural organic wines, no sulfites, pesticides, etc. The owner of this small, 300 hectare property is Austrian and Martin is a master of making some of the finest wines I’ve experienced. I’ll be buying these wines for a long time into the future. He also has a beautiful Great Pyrenees!The next vineyard, a little larger but equally deserving of praise for the fruit of their vines, was Chinchilla. While, of course different, the wines here are equally superb. The wines from both vineyards are an exceptional, handcrafted value. After the two vineyard visits, we experienced Ronda, walking the streets and enjoying its culture and charm. Then, it was back to the cruise port, arriving right on-time as scheduled. This tour is an exceptional experience and value!

More than expected and an amazing experience! Kelly was so nice and just in time for pick up at our hotel (he even stopped for my husband to get a coffee on the way to Ronda). We had two hour in Ronda and Kelly gave us the important spot to see. We had just enough time and enjoyed being just the two of us, for shopping also.The first vinery was a small family own and Maria Elena was so interesting, she even spoke french just for us ! The snack and wine itself was wort the trip ! We bought two excellent bottles of " Bodega Vetas" vine and enjoy it home !On the way to the second vinery, we enjoyed olives and citrus plantations and a beautiful view. The second vinery was so beautifully designed. We enjoyed their excellent vine and a complete lunch with tortilla del patatas and cheese, all home made (the hotesse was so nice!!). Kelly was really nice, easy going, excellent driver and perfectly organised !Great value for the money! Don't miss it !
